What is the Alley?

The Alley is a community of adult gamers that enjoy a variety of games from retro, indie, role playing, battle royales, shooters, horror and so many more.  What brings us together is our love for games in a non-toxic setting.  You never know what you're going to get in a random match, so having a community of gamers who share a basic common desire for chill non-toxic vibes has made the experience more enjoyable for everyone.  When not gaming, we also host watch parties, talk about our day, and run a few events and contests.

How do I Join?

To join, you can click on the JOIN button on the top-right menu.  This will direct you to our Discord server.  If you don't already have a Discord account, you can create one.  Review our Discord FAQ section for more information.

What kind of games does the community focus on?

Accepted Answer

You'll find interest in a variety of games!  Fortnite is pretty popular, most of our community plays Zero builds and sometimes we will do creative community nights where we check out different maps.  Dead by Daylight is gaining traction as well as Call of Duty / Warzone.  There has been an uptick in attention on Genshin Impact, and there is an entire channel for cozy / simulation games.  If you are interested in a game, chances are there are other members that are interested too!

Is The Alley a safe space for all members?

Yes! We prioritize being a safe / inclusive space!  Every member must read and agree to the rules before gaining full access to the server.  Our first rule is an absolute zero tolerance for any type of hate speech or -ISMs.

We also have a reporting system that members are encouraged to use if someone is violating any of our rules & guidelines.

Is The Alley only for "serious" gamers?

LOL....nah!  You play games?  You're a gamer!  Rather you are new to the game, veteran, casual, or a competitive pro, you are welcome here.  Many of the community members are full time students, employees, parents, spouses or a host of other things going on.  We talk about those things too 😁

Yes.  We are an adult gaming community is for those ages 21 and older.

Can I promote my own gaming content or streams in The Alley

Accepted Answer

Yes!  There is a channel dedicated to self promotion.  However, based on experience, these channels work best when the community knows you.  So to avoid spam, this channel can only be utilized once members reach a certain level.  This will also done to deter people from joining solely to use the self promo channel and fill it with spam.

We value input from our members! You can share your ideas and feedback using our create support ticket channel!  Our team meets regularly and will review suggestions to enhance the community experience.

Yes!  We have an event planner group dedicated to bringing you a variety of events from watch parties, game tutorials, community game nights, and even the occasional tournament.
